Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! Right now, HII's System Integration group is seeking a Project Management Analyst to join our Fleet Sustainment group! As our Project Management Analyst, you will play a critical role as part of the Integrated Training Systems Installation and Sustainment (ITSIS) support contract for the U.S. Navy. The ideal candidate provides comprehensive project support including plan development, schedule and budget tracking, performance analysis, and risk/issue management. Prepares leadership-ready reports and documentation, coordinates cross‑functional activities, and identifies opportunities to enhance project workflows and controls. This is a full-time position location in the Virginia Beach, VA area. 

What You Will Do

  • Assist project and program managers in developing project plans, schedules, scope definitions, and resource requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret project performance data (budget, schedule, milestones, risks).
  • Prepare dashboards, metrics, and status reports for leadership.
  • Monitor project budgets, actual costs, and forecasts.
  • Review/Monitor EAC (Estimate at Completion), variance analysis, and cost controls.
  • Support identification, tracking, and mitigation of risks and issues.
  • Responsible for project documentation, requirements, and contract deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between cross‑functional teams.
  • Coordinate meetings, reviews, and project activities.
  • Identify inefficiencies; recommend improvements to workflows, tools, and reporting methods.
  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and decision-support documents.

What You Must Have

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to proactively communicate via telephone, text, and email with stakeholders in remote locations.
  • Ability to identify the sufficient level of detail needed to make significant project decisions and quantify and communicate that rationale to stakeholders.
  • Possess an innovative and strategic mindset to identify future capabilities and requirements that can and should be integrated into near-term solutions.
  • Must be able to work with the program leadership team and technical experts to define requirements and manage resources efficiently.
  • Must have a current, active Secret security clearance. 

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with NSWC Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity contracts.
  • Experience working with a fast-paced shipboard installation program.

Physical Requirements

Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines. Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height.
