The Project Coordinator reports to the Director of Project Management and partners with the PMO in support of Business & Project Performance, Service Delivery, Profitability and Risk. The Project Coordinator monitors, collects, analyzes data and implements effective solutions to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information to optimize business performance and client management.
Successful candidates engage and collaborate with Practice Leadership, Project Managers and teammates to understand their business and organizational challenges and support strategic solutions related to optimizing business & project performance. Project Coordinators are highly self-motivated, have can-do, support service attitudes, are highly adaptable and keen problem solvers. As individual contributors, they are responsible for working independently on tasks with periodic supervision. Project Coordinators have experience in supporting one or more of the following areas: Finance & Accounting, Business Administration, Operations, and/or Project Management.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge and ability to use analytical and problem-solving techniques.
- Analysis and spreadsheet capabilities are essential components.
- Ability to complete tasks and produce deliverables efficiently and independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally, graphically and in writing.
- Knowledge and ability to use Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, NELSON Business Insights reporting (Tableau), MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and facilitating virtual meetings.
- Good presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize tasks as needed to complete within the identified time frame.
- Proficiency in contract creation and organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Service Delivery
- Full responsibility for the application and management of the Project Lifecycle comprised of goals/outcomes of service, process workflows, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance measures to ensure service delivery excellence, with direct accountability for:
- Supporting PMO with proactively pulling data, reporting, project review meeting support and action items with responsibility for identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
- Leading Project Managers through QAQC of Deltek Project & Plan setup and providing feedback as needed.
- Providing Pipeline and Project Administration leadership to Project Managers, including Opportunity entry, Project setup and Plan updates as directed by PMO.
- Analyzes project performance and proactively identifies and communicates course correction opportunities.
- Partners with PMO in the reconciliation and follow-up of unbilled Items.
- Manages and solves complex profitability and compliance challenges.
- Supports on-going enhancements to the integrated Project Lifecycle based on new industry trends and lessons learned on projects and accounts.
- Regularly communicates with the PMO, Project Managers, IT and Finance partners to ensure effective collaboration and support to meet performance goals.
- Reviews documentation and contracts to ensure compliance with NELSON standards; escalate issues as needed
