About the role

Project Coordinator

We are hiring a Manufacturing Project Coordinator with Engineering and Maintenance operations planning focus for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. In this role, you will coordinate and collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing partners to deliver service, project and preventative maintenance plans and actions that support and prioritize equipment uptime, productivity, and continuous improvement objectives. Executing your role will require a daily blend of time in both office and manufacturing environments. Scheduled hours of work are 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., M-F, with very infrequent overtime up to 2 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts based on a planned, rotating, annual schedule.

Eligibility requirements for internal candidates: Must have held current position in CPS for 12 months, meet the qualifications for the position, and are not currently on a Performance Improvement Plan

Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota

  • 1st shift – 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
  • Occasional overtime up to 2 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a Project Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will be to: 

  • Provide primary leadership and actions for management of the $2.5mm Maintenance Stores inventory, including execution of inventory cycle counts, new parts processing activities and leading inventory. management process engagement, education, and compliance efforts with all staff.
  • Provide primary Engineering staff coordination and support for administration of LOTO and Machine Guarding programs and associated audit schedules.
  • Provide primary representation as Engineering’s plant-facing contact for Safety-related meetings, engagement and support requested of Engineering staff.
  • Coordinates and supports projects as requested.
  • Owns and updates Engineering Tier board sections, including key work center issues in Bindery.
  • Partner and collaborate to provide coverage for leadership and continuity of daily Recycling operations.
  • Partner and collaborate to provide coverage for continuity of emergency service and repair parts sourcing and requisitioning.
  • Provide weekly and OT shift leadership as needed, requested, or scheduled.
  • Manages $2.5mm Maintenance Stores inventory
  • Coordinates LOTO and Machine Guarding programs
  • Acts as Engineering's plant-facing contact for Safety-related matters
  • Engineering Tier Board Focus: Key work center issues in Bindery

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Provides coverage for Recycling operations
  • Supports emergency service and repair parts sourcing

About You
You're a fit for the role of Project Coordinator if your background includes:

  • Inventory management, safety protocols, LOTO, Machine Guarding
  • 8 to 10+ years of related experience for technical or administrative support roles
  • University or College education or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to the relevant knowledge and theories for professional entry level
  • Entry level professional roles requiring a discipline specific degree or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts
  • General professional and conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and principles within a discipline
  • Basic understanding of the roles of relevant functional groups within own area
  • Applies general knowledge of business, developed through education, to make informed judgements
  • Good understanding of the customer, customer needs and priorities
  • Communicates information clearly, asks questions and checks for understanding
  • Responds to routine or standard requests from internal or external customers
  • Gains support from colleagues for ideas and initiatives
  • Recommends changes to current processes in own area to respond to customer needs
