Summary

JOIN OUR TEAM AS A PROJECT COORDINATOR III
The Project Coordinator III coordinates and executes the processes and distribution of deliverables necessary for the implementation of multiple department programs and projects to various county departments, stakeholders, Fee Credit Registry consultant, developers, and Federal and State agencies to ensure compliance with county distribution policies and regulations, to include but not limited to: Pasco County Utilities, GIS, Planning Services, Development Review Services, and Offices of Economic Growth, Development Services Branch, and State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (Comp Plan Amendments). 

Examples of duties

  • Assists with daily accounting reconciliation duties as needed including, but not limited to – completing office and online reports, posting checks in Accela, electronic deposits through J.P. Morgan scanner.
  • Assists with Public Records Requests – retrieving and returning documents requested by the public and County staff from State Street storage and Central Records. File Manager maintenance. Collaborates with Dept. Managers, IT, Records Technician, and vendor on Digital File Transfer of County documents.
  • Assists with renovation logistics.
  • Serves as liaison between department Directors and Planners on project submissions and memos to Planning Commission, VOPH Commission, and BCC.
  • Collects and coordinates documents required for Planning Commission, VOPH, and BCC meetings for submission to department and County Agenda Coordinators. 
  • Maintains Smartsheet database to track all projects assigned to departmental planners, from distribution to closed status.
  • Collects Cover Memos, for bi-weekly Planning Commission and BCC meetings; compiles and prints packets for Directors’, ACA, and County Administrator review.
  • Serves as needed facilitator and agenda coordinator for department for Planning Commission, BCC, and VOPH meetings.
  • Ability to climb 20 feet on ladder and move 40 pound boxes.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Must be team oriented and able to work with multiple internal and external departments to accomplish projects.
  • Possesses high-degree of analysis and logical reasoning skills to address multi-faceted issues.
  • Ability to properly handle sensitive or confidential information, complex situations, and coordinate multiple functions while attending to additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret applicable rules, statutes, and codes.

Supplemental information

PHYSICAL SKILLS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, or squat frequently. Physical ability to work out-of-doors for long periods of time. Ability to climb 20 feet on ladder and move 40 pound boxes. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written, and visual communication.  Ability to work extended hours during emergency response and recovery conditions.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate degree and four (4) years' of project coordination and office administrative experience OR high school diploma and six (6) years of project coordination and office administrative experience.  Proficiency in software and web-based applications to include: Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet and some experience working with GIS. Knowledge of urban planning and GIS preferred. 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:  Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
