Project Coordinator, CIOPS PMO

The mission of Amazon Global Security Operations is to mitigate security and operational risks to our associates, physical assets, and brand. Critical Incident Operations (CIOPS) supports Amazon Worldwide Operations by providing 24/7 services including alarm monitoring and response, incident triage, and crisis management. Amazon is hiring a detail-oriented individual to support the Quality, Compliance and Customer Program at Amazon’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in Goodyear, Arizona.

Amazon is looking for a Project Coordinator to administer the CIOPS Project Management Office (PMO) mechanisms and tools that track and provide visibility to the CIOPS project portfolio. The coordinator will partner with the CIOPS Change Management (ChM) and Project Management Office (PMO) team to administer and enhance project tracking capabilities, reporting, communications, and metrics for overall project portfolio health. The coordinator must be able to collaborate with team members to develop new mechanisms and work cross-functionally with multiple business partners. They will support internal CIOPS customers as a resource with project management knowledge and support development of the actions needed to provide real time project management visibility.



Key job responsibilities
• Understand the complexity of business and project management processes and workflows
• Strong technical skills to administer and build solutions in our project management software (i.e. Smartsheet)
• Incorporate improvements to established mechanisms/processes related to project tracking, reporting, and communications
• Ownership and end to end delivery on their part of project management
• Self-starter comfortable working with autonomy, and can successfully prioritize and manage multiple assignments
• Customer Focus- Ability to approach problems logically and with good judgment to ensure the appropriate customer outcome
• Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

*This is an hourly role and there is no relocation support*

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a project management role
• 1+ years of Experience in an IT/Operations/Call/Command Center work environment
• Experience using Smartsheet in a project management capacity and the ability to create advanced formulas similar to Excel
• Experience using MS Office Suite and programs to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Program Management, Statistics, Crisis Management, Compliance/Quality, or Business Administration
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• PMP Certified
• Experience with programming languages
• Professional demeanor and ability to communicate with business leaders
• Exemplary performance record, particularly with regard to quality & productivity
