Why You Will Love this Job:
Rehlko is searching for a Project Analyst – Quality on 3rd Shift. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to meet Quality goals for the entire Mosel Facility on 3rd shift. Analyze product and process performances per Engineering and Supplier specifications. Pro-actively ensure that the components received and products produced meet the specifications through control of processes, testing, and verification. Drive continuous improvement through defect elimination, solving problems with root cause analysis and monitoring actions for effectiveness.
Position requires a highly self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency toward project completion and driven to maintain engineering and operations excellence. Work within a cross-functional environment and be responsible for the tracking, progress, and awareness of assigned projects.
Specific Responsibilities
Monitor product quality, measuring key characteristics of a process by sampling parts and analyzing trends through the use of control charts, pareto diagrams, scatter diagrams, etc. Identify and implement internal changes that will improve efficiency and product or process improvements.
Facilitate production by determining whether parts of concern are conforming or non-conforming. Analyze designs and make recommendations for changes or modifications.
Investigate and correct identified design problems through initiation of Problem Reports in the Windchill Change Management Process.
Recommend when Deviations are needed to current parts to support operations.
Compile and create reports for metrics maintained in Power BI.
Analyze non-conformance data and keep 3rd shift supervisors informed of systemic problems seen on all lines.
Improve First Pass Yield and drive down scrap/rework costs by initiating and completing data driven improvement projects.
Provide assistance to other departments in resolution of problems detected using Kohler Problem Solving methodologies.
Supervise all 3rd shift Inspectors in Quality.
Make approvals to Workbrain timecards, hold toolbox talks, and lead the quality team in daily operations on 3rd shift.
Requirements
Experience and background will vary based on the department the position is supporting.
Associate’s degree from a technical college required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
ASQ Certification recommended.
3-8 years of work experience in a technical environment with demonstrated results.
Understanding and previous experience of Quality Management Systems.
Ability to read and interpret prints, drawings and schematics.
Basic understanding of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Basic understanding of problem-solving tools such as paretos, statistical process control and DMAIC.
Previous experience using multi-meters and basic gages such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
Have understanding and background in metal processing, welding, and assembly processes.
Computer literacy: MS Office experience required.
SAP knowledge preferred.
