Project Analyst

Target salary range: $59,000 - $63,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

JANUS is seeking a Project Analyst to support our Project Management Office (PMO). The project analyst will help project managers plan, organize, and execute our projects effectively by providing critical data support. This role will conduct data gathering, analysis, and reporting to support timely program and project decision-making. The project analyst will support project managers with overseeing and coordinating projects. This person will also contribute to project planning, preparing, and maintaining project documentation to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:
• Data & Metrics

• Collect Key Performance Indicators (i.e. budget, schedule, resources)
• Build/maintain dashboards (i.e. Excel, Power BI, etc.)
• Provide critical data support to the project teams
• Verify and analyze project data to ensure project stays on track
• Project budget tracking and financial forecasting
• Perform data analysis relevant to project tasks

• Reporting

• Create, manage, and disburse project related reports/documentation
• Develop status reports in collaboration with the project managers
• Track, forecast and report on project progress
• Track project trends and flag any performance anomalies

• Risk/Issue Tracking

• Maintain risk and opportunity register and help quantify impacts
• Prepare risk heat maps (i.e. trends analysis) as required
• Help keep projects in compliance with contractual requirements
• Identify and track process improvement opportunities

• Process Support

• Check compliance with PMO governance
• Provide project evaluation and monitoring
• Provide program and portfolio support as required
• Help roll up project-level data into a portfolio-level view

Experience/Skills:
• Prior work experience as a data analyst, project manager, or a business analyst
• Knowledge of and experience with O365 applications, Power BI, MS Project, and dashboard reporting
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate timely information
• An understanding of cross-functional team structure and processes
• Top-notch communication and time management skills
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Ability to evaluate problems and recommend solutions
• Adaptability to assist the team wherever needed to achieve program/project goals
• Prior military experience is preferred

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in management or technical discipline is required

Clearance:
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
