The Program Specialist II, under general supervision, performs specialist duties for the Summer Music Program. The Program Specialist II is a temporary summer position.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to Marching Storm show design and selection.
Preside over band and ensemble rehearsals.
Work with musicians one-on-one, as necessary, to facilitate growth in their musical area, arranging music for the Marching Storm and other ensembles.
Provide overall oversight and direction for members of the Marching Storm during rehearsals and performances; serving as area coordinator for the instrumental area, as applicable (high brass, low brass, Woodwind, and Percussion).
Teach music to cohort assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
Two years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
