About our group:

 

The "Logistics Budget, Analytics & Performance Management" team belongs to Supply Chain and is in charge of Transportation Planning, Rate Management, Freight Audit & Payment, Budgetting, Performance Management and Programme Management for Seagate Logistics activities

About the role - you will:

 

  • Routinely maintain TM Optimizer master data to secure freight savings from Transportation Planning
    • Update and maintain transportation lane costs for small pack, trucking, ocean, and air freight lanes using automated data processes
    • Analyze the Master Rate Sheet and historical shipping data, applying linear regression and data transformation techniques to manage and maintain lane costs
    • Automate process for calculating transit times in lanes to assess carrier performance
    • Determine and assign transit time targets to lanes and routes
  • Leverage advanced technology to improve service to our internal/external customers
    • Implement machine learning/AI algorithms to predict ETA in shipments
    • Implement machine learning/AI algorithms to predict lane rates and therefore improve the accuracy of freight budgets
    • Implement live geocoding of in-transit shipments
    • Build tools to optimize and automate analysis processes (Python, Alteryx, Tableau)
    • Implement chatbot/generative AI to answer transportation related questions from internal/external customers like “where is my shipment?”, “what is the cost of moving?”
    • Design and develop interactive dashboards, emphasizing key KPIs to facilitate data driven decision-making
  • Ensure Transportation Master Data integrity
    • Handle multiple data sources and build data relationships to help with master data and system maintenance
    • Develop a data process to assign geocoordinates to existing and new locations
    • Maintain SAP Master Data for small pack incompatibility
  • Participate in Transportation Management projects
    • Maintenance and improvement of logistics forecasting models (freight spend, tonnage)
    • Engage in new projects by collaborating within a cross-functional team and ensure successful project delivery

About you:

 

  • Strong communication skills to interact with all stakeholders involved in Logistics:
    • warehouse & transportation staff and management
    • carriers and 3rd party service providers. 
  • Possess analytical skills to review the performance and identify areas of improvement.

Your experience includes:

 

  • Experience in at least two of these domains is required
    • Knowledge of advanced technologies - machine learning, generative AI
    • Coding, preferably Python 
    • Data handling/visualization tools - Alteryx, Business Objects, Tableau
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Supply Chain Management

Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated base salary range for this position: $61,547.00 - $79,996.00 annually. Actual salary range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
