Job Description
The Program Manager, Visa Online Platform in the Client Services division will be a member of the platform team that is responsible for shaping the platform’s product strategies as well as the development and rollout of new Visa Online product capabilities.
Visa Online is the go-to platform for clients to do business with Visa - it provides secure access to important Visa content and services for our clients and Visa employees around the world.
This position is based in Foster City campus and will report to Senior Director, Product & Operations, Visa Online. This individual will work as part of the team that leads the strategy, development, rollout, and ongoing management of Visa Online platform and all supported services. They will work primarily with other Client Services teams, but they will also collaborate with legal, finance, IT, and other functional areas.
Our program managers are highly visible agile leaders, building bridges across Visa to ensure projects are effectively developed, integrated and deployed with quality and on time into our production systems.
A strong candidate will have a solid experience in product, program management, release management, x-functional team leadership, as well as superb skills in communications, business analysis, problem-solving, cross-team coordination, communications, functional collaboration, process excellence, and change management. The ideal candidate is not just a facilitator or project plan tracker but ensures things get done with customer and people mindset. The ideal candidate must have a 'make it happen humanely' attitude.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for managing large scale, cross divisional program or projects with budgets up to 5M.
- Work with VOL product, CIT, CS leadership to develop program roadmaps which align to business objectives and sequenced by priority and resource availability.
- Work with business and technology subject matter experts to define scope, create estimates, develop budgets, and produce documentation needed for funding approvals.
- Ensure the program and projects are in compliance with Visa's Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and that accurate and timely information is reported regularly on program progress and financial status.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders, hold regular cross organizational management briefings.
- Lead boldly and utilize hard and soft skills to influence participants of all levels towards the common goal.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues.
- Identify and manage dependencies and impacts
- Maintain meticulous records of projects and programs financials, issues, risks, decisions, schedules.
- Facilitate development of solutions that automate the release cycle from code check-in to deployment.
- Drive improvement in overall efficiency and reliability of our release and deployment processes.
- Facilitate solutions for identified security vulnerabilities and track to timely remediation
- Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
- Manage program and project compliance.
- Adopt agile processes with a constant improvement mindset.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
