What we want

The Program Manager of Rural Medicine Outreach oversees and coordinates student clinical rotations for the Texas A&M University Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine Rural Medicine Program across multiple statewide sites. Serving as the primary contact for rotation logistics, this role works closely with students, faculty, staff, and external clinical and community partners to ensure smooth placement, communication, and compliance from start to finish. Reporting to the Director of Rural Medicine Outreach, the Program Manager provides operational oversight of rotation activities and supports K–12 and community outreach initiatives that promote medical careers in rural and underserved areas.

What you need to know

Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.   

Location/Schedule: Bryan, TX/Full-Time; This position requires up to 50% travel statewide to Texas A&M system campuses, schools, colleges, clinical sites, partner clinics, hospitals, community organizations, schools, and meetings across Texas and may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Five years of related experience program coordination


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Program or project management certification

  • Experience working in a healthcare, clinical, hospital, academic medicine, or community-based education environment.

  • Experience coordinating mult
