The Role

Kyndryl Project Managers oversee the delivery of major projects within scope, schedule, and budget. You’ll be the driving force for every aspect of a program’s success, and the “conductor” who orchestrates everyone’s efforts to make beautiful music together. As the single point of contact to the client, you’ll also be the living embodiment of Kyndryl’s reputation every day.


Becoming a Project Manager at Kyndryl is an excellent gateway to many different paths. You’ll be creating a well-rounded skillset while gaining professional certifications and qualifications. You can evolve horizontally into other technical or non-technical areas such as Technical Service Architect, or you can move vertically to become a senior project manager or program manager. There are many different types and flavors of PM roles, so everyone can find the opportunity that suits them best.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Program Manager, with a focus on Active Directory and related technologies.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a broad technical breadth and deep vertical skills.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to lead and coach others.
  • Experience with application performance monitoring and observability solutions.
  • Understanding of cloud-native technologies, including microservices, containers, container platforms, and DevOps.
  • Proven performance and reliability in leading complex, multi-year migration projects.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and security compliance standards.

Specific Tools and Technologies:

  • Active Directory (AD) Management: Proficiency in managing and migrating Active Directory environments, including user accounts, access controls, and network resources1.
  • Server Management: Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix server management, including the migration of approximately 25,000 servers and storage appliances1.
  • Scripting and Automation: Ability to create and use scripts for automating migration tasks, such as re-permissioning file shares and converting authentication clients for Linux systems1.
  • Authentication Systems: Knowledge of authentication systems, particularly transitioning from Centrify and SSSD to AD Bridge authentication software1.
  • Quest Migrator Pro: Preferred tool for server and application migrations1.
  • Security Compliance: Understanding of various security compliance standards, including ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and CMMC1.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience with Active Directory management and server management with Windows and Linux/Unix servers.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation for migration tasks.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $146,040 to $277,320 based on a full-time schedule.
