About the role
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage program timelines by directing, coordinating, and communicating to all functional groups assigned to the program, and maintain the project schedule as agreed between the customers and Dana.
- Effectively communicate with program governance team and LT stakeholders to escalate and maintain project progress.
- Meet all design, quality, production, financial, and milestone timing needs of the program.
- Identify and resolve project issues, using systemic root cause analysis and provide a robust process for change management. Ensure a change control and corrective action process is in place that aligns with the customer’s systems.
- Responsible for scheduling, monitoring, and facilitating the execution of functional stream lines activities by working closely with all key team members.
- Plan, lead and conduct timely team meetings and program status reviews. Communicate or present project status as needed through reports and program management reviews at all organizational levels.
- Liaison with the customer regarding program issues, including participation in their meetings.
- Coordinate the activities of all cross-functional team members. Resolve project team conflicts, while maintaining team structure and supporting each team member’s authority.
- Lead and drive plant readiness of new plant setup including plant infra, equipment’s and assembly lines, processes, hiring, training and SAP etc.
- Use “Lessons Learned” tool for future improvements.
- Manage all required DV and PV validations as per DANA and customer requirements.
- Ensure successful design, capability, installation and prove-out of production equipment and tools, including procurement of capital equipment and compliance with all required codes.
- Manage and control the planning and implementation of SOP plans for all functional disciplines.
- Support purchasing or quality in supplier negotiations (establish price, warranty and delivery targets) as appropriate.
- Optimize project cash flow through timely coordination of all purchase order releases.
- Develop and implement control procedures to manage capital, tooling, start-up, engineering, and project expenses.
- Ensure the quality of the program’s deliverables and safe launch.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience as Program Manager, Automotive/Off Highway business with MFO experience is preferred.
- 5+years exposure to industrial manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related area.
- 50% travel to Mexico
- Self-motivated and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent APQP and knowledge of program management techniques.
- Must be able to speak and read English, ability to speak Spanish is an advantage.
- Strong Office 365 environment and presentation skills.
- Experience managing challenging situations and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to successfully function in a matrix style of management, managing a variety of cross functional team members.
