BASIC FUNCTION:  

The Program Manager will be responsible for leading, supporting and working directly with the Entrepreneurship Assistance Centers (EAC) to ensure the progress and timely completion of grant deliverables.  The Program Manager will coordinate with grantees and internal departments to ensure all applicable aspects of the grant terms are fulfilled.

The position requires familiarity with a variety of program management concepts, practices, and procedures; an ability to rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; as well as the ability to perform a variety of tasks. The Program Manager must work cooperatively with other team members.


WORK PERFORMED:

  • Review and score grant applications as well as make recommendations for funding.
  • Prepare Award Notification Letters and Grant Disbursement Agreements.
  • Provide support to grantees with contract requirements and navigation of contract procedures.
  • Track and ensure project milestones, deliverables and key performance indicators are achieved and report non-compliant grantees to upper management.
  • Ensure relevant expenditure documentations are submitted in order to process payment requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Act as a key point of contact with other ESD departments to ensure disbursements are processed grantees’ processing of disbursements.
  • Work on special projects, initiatives or events as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education Level Required: Bachelor’s degree and two years of program management, business administration, public administration, or related not-for-profit area.

Substitution: Associate degree and five years of relevant experience in program management, business administration, public administration, or related not-for-profit area.

Knowledge Required: Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.  Must be detailed oriented with strong organizational and customer service skills.  Must be able to work independently, detail oriented with strong follow up skills.   Proficient with Microsoft Suites and familiarity with MS Dynamics and PeopleSoft is helpful.
