Job Summary:
The Program Director, under the direct supervision of the Vice President, establishes and drives a positive culture ensuring clients, referral sources, stakeholders, and team members are treated with dignity and respect. In this position, you will oversee the Recovery Services program and maintain compliant and quality services within the designated business unit. You will execute and monitor quality assurance procedures while performing essential job duties, including managing fiscal results, compliance, staff development, and relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Recovery Services program to ensure clients receive high-quality care and services.

  • Manage fiscal results and compliance for the business unit, including identifying new funding sources and expanding/enhancing current services.

  • Assist with grant management, including ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

  • Track and meet key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring timely variance reporting.

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including case management groups, regional Department of Mental Health Offices, and vocational rehabilitation facilities.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and accreditation standards, including CARF, state guidelines, state licensure, and funding/referral requirements.

  • Perform management responsibilities such as hiring and termination decisions, coaching, development, performance management, and staff productivity.

  • Complete quality management file reviews and field observations of team members.

  • Ensure databases and electronic medical records are up to date and accurate.

  • Work direct care shifts as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Program Director, or Executive Team member.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to develop process workflows and organize people and projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop reports and present information confidently.

  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with team members and stakeholders.

  • Expertise in compliance with CARF, state guidelines, state licensure, funding, and referral sources, maintaining audit-ready standards.

  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, internet platforms, database, web-based applications, and other electronic media) and the ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.

  • Knowledge of supporting individuals with disabilities and/or barriers to employment, education, and independent living.

  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods in mental health and/or substance abuse services and accessing community resources.

  • Knowledge of supervisory and training techniques in mental health and substance use treatment.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience in a healthcare system or five years of behavioral healthcare experience required.

  • Behavioral healthcare experience in a similar role preferred.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Supervisory Requirements:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to all aspects of the Recovery Services department.

  • Take an active role in monitoring and executing strategic objectives.
