About the PositionGeneral office management of the Child Development Center (CDC). Answer phone calls, emails, greet and email parents and families, scheduling, support staff recruitment, process payroll, prepare and process payroll appointments, pay invoices, monitor budget, and purchase supplies. Other duties as required.
This is a temporary position working a maximum of 1050 hours; position may be extended depending on need.
Required Qualifications- Demonstrated administrative, budgeting, and/or office management experience reflecting increased autonomy and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employees of diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization, and with outside agencies.
- Adult/Child CPR Certification or ability to complete employer-paid training and certification within 6 months of employment.
- Within 3 weeks of employment, complete registration with the Professional Development and Workforce Registry (MERIT) of the WA State Department of Children, Youth and Families (DYCF), including a background check.
- A TB test and results are required before starting this position.
- Experience working with Ellucian Banner Enterprise Resource Planning system, Millennium FAST Finance/HR/Budget, SAP Concur Travel & Expense Management, Facilities Management ReADY-AiM Systems, PageUp Recruitment, ESM eProcurement
- Experience working in a higher education setting.
Position will be monitored for benefits eligibility; currently this position is not benefits eligible. Bargaining Unit This position is covered by a Washington Federation of State Employees bargaining union. N
