About the role

About the Opportunity

Under the banner of Northeastern’s Climate Justice & Sustainability Hub (the “Hub”), this position will report to the Oakland campus’ Sustainability Manger. The Hub understands that climate change is about more than just pollution and emissions. At the root of the issue is social inequality and institutionalized racism that enables the exploitation of land, people, and resources to such a severe degree that our climate is changing and low-income and BIPOC communities across the world are suffering disproportionally. Climate justice seeks to address these systemic root causes by advancing a just transition away from fossil fuels and the extractive economy.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting a wide array of on-campus sustainability programming. • Possibility to supervise 1-2 student workers assisting with communications/event operations
