Position Summary:

 

Creative seeks a Program Associate for the Conflict Prevention & Stabilization Practice Area in the Communities in Transition Division, to support activities in West and Central Africa advancing peaceful coexistence, strengthening government accountability, and enhancing social cohesion.  The role of an Associate is to provide administrative and coordination support to up to two international client-funded projects (number may vary based on size/complexity of projects) with an anticipated level of effort (LOE) of 60-65% on project administrative and management support. The Program Associate will also provide business development (BD) support at 15-20% LOE; BD support may include researching and writing past performance references; editing resumes; supporting budget development and justification; participating in new-business capture efforts; or other administrative support functions.

 

Reporting & Supervision:

 

The Program Associate will report to the Senior Project Director.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Processing project activity documentation and payments.
  • Contributing to project financial management including expense justification and budget tracking.
  • Documenting, reviewing, and processing project and consultant invoices.
  • Managing project files and performance information.
  • Liaising with international project offices.
  • Drafting and revising project documents in compliance with Creative and client policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Supporting meeting scheduling, information management, and logistics.
  • Conducting desk research in support of program implementation and new business initiatives.
  • Providing administrative and logistical support to program implementation or business development, including occasional overseas travel.
  • Representing Creative Associates at external meetings or conferences.

Qualifications

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in social sciences, liberal arts, or relevant field.
  • One year of relevant administrative or professional work experience, including internships and summer employment.
  • Foreign language: professional proficiency in French.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 8 weeks per year to locations with limited infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including ability to navigate and use Excel.
  • Understanding of essential workplace dynamics and etiquette.

Compensation & Benefits:

For employees working in the United States, the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected to be between ($49,500 to $55,800). Salary for part-time employees will be prorated based on actual hours worked. Actual offers will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and business or organizational needs.

 

Eligible U.S. based employees, will be able to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus a 401(k)-retirement plan with a company match. Additionally, employees will be eligible for company-paid annual leave (vacation & holidays), sick leave, parental leave; as well as short- and long-term disability coverage. Detailed information will be provided at the time a formal offer is extended.
