About The Role:
VentureWell is growing and has an exciting opportunity to hire two new Program Associates to work with existing and new programs. If you are someone with at least one year of related experience, including relationship building and data management, this may be a great role for you. Candidates may bring domain experience in fields related to VentureWell program areas, such as: science and technology innovation, entrepreneurship, federal contracting, procurement, program administration and support, and commercialization support. This role would be joining the Commercialization vertical at VentureWell. This vertical encompasses multiple programs, including Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx), Blueprint MedTech, and the ARPA-H Investor Catalyst Hub.
We are seeking to hire two Program Associates to support Blueprint, RADx and other programs. These new hires will report directly to two different Senior Program Officers, respectively, within the Commercialization Vertical. These roles are expected to perform in a fully remote capacity.
Responsibilities:
Consultant Resource Management (25% of time)
- Review consultant requests and process according to need and resource availability
- Collaborate with Finance team on consultant engagement
- Manage contractual requests and changes
Program Administration (25% of time)
- Set up and host meetings, providing logistics support as needed
- Develop agendas, record meeting minutes, and disseminate documents accordingly
- Provide reporting and documentation for programs
- Monitor and manage general program email inboxes
Vendor and Contractor Support (25% of time)
- Assist in curating a diverse vendor source list
- Assess and evaluate vendor performance
- Solicit new vendors, monitor vendor intake and provide application support
- Review, provide comments, and guide engagements with vendors and consultants
- Leverage a STEM degree and strong scientific knowledge to effectively manage collaborations and enhance outcomes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and oversee the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for technical experts, team leads, and other contractors
Process Development and Maintenance (25% of time)
- Track and report program KPIs
- Support development and implementation of new processes
- Support organizational needs for cross-collaboration opportunities
- Document and track deliverables and feedback to support continuous improvement in project execution and stakeholder communication
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for applicants with a STEM degree or focus.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, including project management or program administration, with domain experience in fields related to VentureWell program areas strongly preferred
- Demonstrated history of success utilizing project management skills, including ability to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple tasks with a wide range of stakeholders
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills with an ability to articulate and synthesize information in a compelling, organized manner
- Degree of digital fluency or comfort using cloud-based office tools such as GSuite, CRMs (e.g. Salesforce), organizational software (e.g. Asana), team collaboration tools (e.g. Miro), and other web-based applications
