What We Want
Mays Business School seeks a Program Aide to support the Marketing Department by assisting with research and teaching support, managing research program operations, and coordinating departmental initiatives. This role emphasizes systems management, data handling, and operational support while collaborating with faculty, staff, and the Conant Behavioral Research Lab.

Essential Duties/Tasks
Faculty Research & Teaching Support
Develops and manages datasets using Python, Excel, APIs, and web-based systems for academic and research use.
Performs data collection using APIs (Yelp, Google Trends) and web scraping using Selenium, queries Factiva database to support marketing research.
Utilizes AI tools such as Claude and Perplexity to enhance research workflows and information synthesis.
Automates data processes to improve efficiency in grading, reporting, and research workflows.
Collaborates with faculty on research and teaching support, including data preparation, analysis, and grading workflows.
Evaluates and grades student Tableau projects, assessing data visualization quality, dashboard design, and analytical insights.
Prepares and organizes academic materials, including datasets, lecture videos, and presentation content, ensuring accessibility.
Ensures accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of academic and research data.
Research Program Support (Behavioral Lab)
Manages and tracks student participation data and credits using the SONA system.
Coordinates and administers research study sessions in alignment with program standards.
Handles student communications regarding study availability, credit status, and system access.
Supports data tracking, reporting, and validation for research participation using Qualtrics Platform.
Assists in preparation of research materials and supports lab operations.
Ensures compliance with research protocols and confidentiality requirements.
Program & Operational Support
Supports onboarding, training, and system access for student workers.
Assists with documentation, reporting, and tracking of departmental and program activities.
Maintains and manages program-related tracking systems, including schedules, documentation, and GA & TA job request workflows.
Coordinates communication and interdepartmental activities across faculty, staff, and students using digital platforms.
Provides end-to-end logistical support for meetings and events, including scheduling, coordination, and on-site execution.
Ensures adherence to departmental procedures and policies.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
No prior experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting faculty in data-driven teaching and research environments
Hands-on experience with Python, Tableau, APIs, and web scraping tools (e.g., Selenium).
Familiarity with research and data collection platforms such as SONA and Qualtrics.
Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources (e.g., Factiva, web-based datasets).
