Description

As a Professional Engineer for Public Works, you will develop project work plans and scopes of work, and be exposed to project management.Responsibilities, Expectations, and Duties:
- Produce project deliverables, including design plans, cost estimates, specifications, and technical reports for a wide variety of infrastructure projects
- Prepare site and roadway, grading, drainage, and utility design using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Organize supporting calculations and permitting in various jurisdictions
- Development of project work plans and scopes of work
- Provide project oversight and schedule monitoring
- Administer quality assurance for project deliverables
- Maintain effective communications with clients and project teams
- Ensure that the staff resources are deployed in a productive and profitable manner
- Conduct meetings to ensure that project needs are balanced with staff availability
- Partner with other Horrocks practice leaders to assist in multi-disciplinary project pursuits
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
- 8 years minimum experience
- PE Licensure
- A self-directed practitioner with strong project delivery skills
- Ability to supervise staff, bid projects, and develop project execution plans and technical deliverables
- Work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
- Organized and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goal
