Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of professional accounting experience with the State of Florida or two (2) years of private professional accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Two (2) years of experience maintaining and preparing accounting financial reports.
  • Two (2) years of experience in analyzing and resolving exception items, discrepancy items, and or correcting items in an accounting and/or banking environment.

 

Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Two (2) years of customer service.

 

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of banking operations.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Word and Excel applications.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to an accounting system.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team structure.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to independently analyze and use problem solving techniques.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Due to the job duties of this position, the work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

 

Interview will consist of: Oral interview questions and work samples. Work samples will be answered using Microsoft Word and Excel.
