Your Role:
MilliporeSigma in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Production Technician III, Filling. In this position you will assisting in the aseptic filling process along with equipment cleaning, preparation and assembly.
Responsibilities:
- Stopper prep, capping and packaging
- Oversee the work of other members of Manufacturing and be held accountable for their
performance - Perform operation of autoclaves; obtain and maintain certification for entry into the Aseptic Core
- Independently make important decisions during processing, and at the same time
understand the importance of consulting with management on critical issues - Act as group lead in the absence of the supervisor (excluding formal disciplinary actions)
- Coordinate with support group, issuance of components and testing of in process samples
- Write investigations when requested
- Perform final batch record reviews
- Write and revise area SOP’s and batch records
- Place purchase orders and monitor inventory of supplies
- Handle wastes including hazardous wastes; attend mandatory annual hazardous waste
training meeting(s) and show a competency in that training by passing test(s) administered by the company or consultant providing such training
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience in aseptic filling of pharmaceuticals
OR
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, etc.) or Life Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) discipline with 3+ years of experience in aseptic filling of pharmaceuticals
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, etc.) or Life Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) discipline with 1+ years of experience in aseptic filling of pharmaceuticals
OR
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in the aseptic filling process along with equipment cleaning,
preparation and assembly
- Experience in stopper prep, capping and packaging
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate GMP compliance documentation as well as Standard Operating Procedures
- Possess adequate working knowledge of arithmetic functions to accurately perform or check
calculations required in the product documentation - Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel
- Presentation and assertiveness skills adequate to lead and train others
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot minor process or equipment difficulties
