Production Tech

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate Trimmer and auxiliary equipment:
  • Demonstrate ability to meet Quality and production goals with a sense of urgency to keep machines running.
  • Troubleshoot trimmer issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Quality checks:
    • Trimmer check
    • Flat testing
• Complete change overs:
  • Trimmer
  • Robot
  • Set up rails.
• Operate Robot and auxiliary equipment:
  • Demonstrate ability to meet Quality and production goals with a sense of urgency to keep machines running.
  • Perform daily inspections of line with an emphasis on eye & bladder set up, assuring all are in proper position and working condition for maximum efficiency.
  • Perform daily inspections of all quality equipment to ensure all are working properly:
    • Laser coder
    • Keyance Camera
  • Troubleshoot issues with trimmer, eyes, and robot head issues.
  • Assist maintenance to troubleshoot any robot issues.

• Understand and ability to perform all Deco Operator tasks.
• Understanding of bottle quality requirements and documentation of those requirements.
• Sustain efficiencies and scrap on production machines that meet company goals.
• Ability to effectively communicate machine, process, and quality related issues.
• Effectively diagnose problems and logically troubleshoot tasks.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance to machine during shift.
• Comply with direction from Supervisor and/or Managers.
• Promote a safe working environment.
• Follow GMP Standards and proper work attire.
• Follow GDP Standards.
• Understands and adheres to all Silgan safety policies and procedures.
• Become a member of the plant Safety Committee or HACCP Team.
• All other duties as assigned.
