Production Team Lead

Description

The Production Team Lead reports to the Operations Manager and interacts with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Process Engineering and other members of the Production team. This position responsible for providing leadership and support to manufacturing teams while driving efficient production to meet business goals and promoting team effectiveness/development. 

Requirements: 

Highschool Diploma or GED Equivalent- required

3-5 years in a manufacturing environment- required

1-3 years lead experience- preferred

• Ability to learn and become proficient with FIRM, ADP, and other internal database and tracking software.
• Ability to read and interpret Fitesa product codes, production schedules, and operations documents.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and good mechanical abilities.
• Ability to apply basic math skills.
•  Ability to read and interpret measurement in standard and metric systems.
• Statistical Analysis skills with the ability to establish and audit against goals.
• Experience with document control processes.
• Ability to read and interpret Fitesa product codes and production schedules.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and good mechanical abilities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities(What/How):

Operations:

• Adhere to company safety procedures.
• Coordinate work assignments for team.
• Enforce policies and procedures and inform Lead Supervisor/Production Manager of discipline needs.
• Promote Company mission and vision by leading team to achieve goals.
• Plan and address technician moves, production changes, coverage of absences.
• Communicate problems and issues to appropriate resources in a timely manner.
• Manage and effectively use team meetings to drive communication and address production issues.
• Monitor/audit the following areas: Safety, Quality, Work Practices, Documentation, Policy & Procedures, Breaks and Housekeeping.
• Initiate appropriate action for non-compliance.
• Establish and promote a positive work environment.
• Ensure team members have tools needed for job responsibilities, including PPE.
• Assist and help manage production down day activities 
• Responsible for daily adherence and corrective actions to support 5S standards.
• Participates in training of new team members.
• All other duties as assigned.

Quality:

• Coordinates with the quality team consistently during the shift to verify that product is meeting and running on target for physical properties.
• Monitor product quality to meet customer specifications.
