The Opportunity 

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to oversee and supervise the preparation, production, packaging, and shipment of blended materials. The successful candidate will collaborate with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Planning, and Purchasing to ensure orders are manufactured on time and in a safe and efficient manner. This role also involves supporting Sanitation Supervision and requires knowledge in HACCP, pest control, cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping practices. This permanent, full-time position will report to the Plant Manager and is fully onsite. Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:   

 

• Oversee Production: Manage the preparation, blending, inspection, and packaging of materials to meet customer specifications and company standards.
• Promote Safety: Foster a behavior-based safety culture aiming for a zero-risk workplace.
• Drive Improvement: Implement Continuous Improvement process and principles to create a zero-loss environment and minimize product loss.
• Quality Control: Conduct daily quality inspections and ensure proper document, label, and packaging controls.
• Leadership: Provide direction and supervision to manufacturing team, including assigning team to process orders and monitoring labor hours.
• Employee Development: Coordinate effective onboarding and training for new team members, and maintain programs designed to motivate employees.
• Performance Management: Monitor employee attendance, conduct annual reviews, and identify the best people for the job.

  

 The Skills you will bring to the team

• Educational Qualification: High School Diploma or GED required, with a college degree in a technical discipline highly preferred.
• Experience: Previous manufacturing supervisory experience and experience as a Sanitation Supervisor are advantageous.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Independence: Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
• Communication Skills: Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Goal-Oriented: Must be focused on achieving team goals.
