Production Supervisor

Role Overview:
As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee and drive day-to-day production activities, ensuring smooth workflow and real-time management of work-in-process (WIP) operations. We are seeking a proactive leader with a passion for space systems and a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and actively manage all work-in-process within the assigned area to ensure accurate tracking and timely completion of production orders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of work orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to production schedules.
• Act as the primary point of contact for identifying and addressing production issues, communicating with leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve blockers and achieve target goals.
• Understand and manage top priorities, quickly troubleshooting any challenges that arise during assembly and integration activities.
• Document and communicate ongoing work requirements to ensure a seamless handoff between work teams.
• Guide and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 12+ years in high-rate manufacturing operations, specifically in complex engineered assemblies.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, such as a Team Lead or Production Supervisor, in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Someone who has lead teams in high-rate manufacturing of complex engineered products. Familiarity with flight hardware production processes, with hands-on experience in assembly, integration, and test.
• Proficient in the application of Lean manufacturing techniques, with experience leading or participating in Kaizen events.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate production status and requirements to diverse teams.
• Comfortable using the Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, documentation, and communication.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
• IPC & J-STD Certifications (Standards for soldering and electronics assembly)
• 2 or 4-year degree in Technical Operations, Business, or related fields.
• Direct experience with space vehicle bus and/or payload integration.
• A self-starter who is a strong team player, capable of driving projects to completion in a dynamic environment.

Hours:
• M-F 7:15am-4:00pm MT
• Evenings & Weekends as needed
