What You’ll Do
As a Production Supervisor you will manage and give direction to production personnel in areas involving machining, processing, assembly, welding, painting, and other warehouse operations.
What We Need From You:
- Proven working experience in Production Supervision.
- Knows, understands, communicates and facilitates a safe work culture, ensuring compliance with all company safety/environmental and housekeeping policies.
- Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- Ensuring the completion of orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicates between Operations Manager, Purchasing and Planning personnel, and other supervisors of schedule problems, and resolves issues that may affect the planned priorities. Able to effectively interface with all levels of management, staff, and customers (conference calls, vendor meetings, etc.)
- Work closely with Purchasing and Planning to ensure appropriate levels of materials and supplies.
- Inspects work areas to ensure operational performance and utilization on tight deadlines under pressure.
- CQI, a customer first mindset and strict adherence to our quality processes.
- Monitors employee performance to assure that quality and production standards are met and assists in completing performance reviews.
- Assures that employees are trained to adequately perform assigned tasks.
- Builds and maintains morale in the Production workforce and maintains a good attitude with fellow workers and management to enhance morale.
- Keeps all appropriate matters confidential and ensures team compliance.
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Competency in Microsoft applications included Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Additional duties as needed.
Education/Experience And Must Haves
- 1-3 years management experience is required
- Knowledge of metalworking industry, equipment, and processes
- Business/Technical degree in related field, or equivalent combination of experience/education.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, or sit for long periods of time
- Must be capable of working in inclement conditions to include extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
