The Role and What You'll Do:

The Supervisor of Live Event Production leads the strategic planning, operational management, and execution of large-scale live events, experiential activations, festivals, tours, and brand experiences. This role oversees production teams, vendor partnerships, budgets, timelines, and client relationships while ensuring exceptional event execution from concept through completion.

The Supervisor serves as a key leader within the production department, driving operational excellence, mentoring team members, and supporting business growth through high-level client service and production expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end production management for live events, festivals, experiential programs, and branded activations
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are achieved
  • Manage internal production teams, freelancers, vendors, and agency partners throughout all phases of execution
  • Develop and maintain production schedules, staffing plans, logistics, and operational workflows
  • Supervise onsite event operations including load-in, rehearsals, show days, and strike
  • Direct vendor negotiations and coordination including AV, staging, fabrication, lighting, power, scenic, rigging, and labor
  • Partner closely with clients, account teams, creative teams, and venue stakeholders to align production strategy with event goals
  • Monitor and manage production budgets, estimates, change orders, purchase orders, and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with venue regulations, permitting, insurance, and safety requirements
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to production managers, coordinators, and junior staff
  • Identify process improvements to increase operational efficiency and execution quality
  • Support business development efforts including production estimates, client presentations, and scope development
  • Maintain high standards of execution, client satisfaction, and team collaboration

You Have These:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in live event production, experiential marketing, entertainment production, or festival operations
  • Proven experience managing large-scale productions and multi-market event programs
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Deep understanding of event logistics, technical production, fabrication, and onsite operations
  • Experience managing large production budgets and vendor negotiations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced event environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, project management platforms, and budgeting tools
  • Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends as required by event schedules

Preferred Experiences

  • Festival, touring, or national experiential activation experience
  • Agency or brand-side experiential production background
  • Knowledge of union labor, venue operations, and permitting processes
  • Live event safety training
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and client-facing presentations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move throughout long event days
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying event environments
  • Ability to lift and move production materials when necessary
  • Flexibility to travel frequently and support extended production schedules
