Production Scheduler

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Production Scheduler to join our growing team.

 

The Role:

Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing and warehouse floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.  

 

What You Will Do:

• Distribute and slot tickets & distribute revisions as required
• Provide customer service and support to customers via the phone and email, as well as will-call
• Notify Sales of any schedule impacts to customers 
• Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking 
• Communicate customer service needs with drivers, sales, and operations
• Update scheduling database with ticket details
• Complete, update, revise various operational reports SQDCI, Time, Production
• Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved 
• Completes status reports, such as production progress, customer information and materials  inventory 
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Performs other duties as required 
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating job site deliveries and production order flow, ensuring safe and on-time pickup and delivery

 

 

Who You Are:

• Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality       control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. 
• Solid customer service background
• Extensive organizational and multitasking skills
• Detail Oriented
• Answering a high volume of calls from Drivers, Customers and Sales Team
• Scheduling/booking freight pick-up and deliveries
• Basic computer skills in word, excel, pivot tables, with ability to be trained on company software
• Millwork Knowledge preferred
