What you will do:

The Production Planner plays a key role in maintaining operational flow of our engine output. They work closely with the production and sales departments to ensure materials are available, provide updates to customers and our shop floor employees, and maintain scheduling parameters for our 3rd and 4th cycle of production.

To excel in this role, you should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be a critical thinker, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You must have the ability to adjust and manage priorities, have good time management skills, work independently, and obtain gratification from satisfying the needs of our customers.  The person in this role will aim to balance operational goals with customer commitments while maintaining profitability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare production schedules, assess changes, and improve processes as necessary

  • Prepare reports on work in progress

  • Facilitate the capacity management process, including identification and escalation of long-term capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning)

  • Execute continuous management of the master demand schedule, including adherence to all required validations using the best information available to provide long range organizational effectiveness and aftermarket demand visibility in support of financial planning, internal and external capacity management, and the overall SIOP process.

  • Track status of material availability and potential production problems as it relates to production planning

  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with operations, ROCS, supply chain, engineering, quality assurance and inventory control

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Operations Planning or equivalent experience, OR

  • An associate’s degree and 4+ years of Operations Planning or equivalent experience

Qualifications we Prefer:

  • Degree in a STEM field

  • SAP (or other ERP systems) experience

  • Excel/Microsoft Office Suite training

  • Proven ability to lead and manage projects

  • Ability to communicate and work across all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external customer relationships
