Job Description

The Production Planner is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.  You will be responsible for ensuring on time deliveries to customers which includes achieving targeted Request Date Service Levels (RDSL).

As A Production Planner, You Will:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate complex manufacturing operations, including capacity-feasible production plans, overtime or capacity change needs, and the creation/release of work orders and production schedules.
  • Analyze demand and highlight/escalate significant variations; maintain Finished Goods inventory to meet on-time customer demand, targeting RDSL KPI goals and driving action plans when KPIs are missed.
  • Communicate closely with Production, Sales, and CSR teams to monitor production plan adherence; review components coverage with Planner/Buyers (clear to build) and reschedule proactively when needed.
  • Generate regular reports on order status, production progress, and inventory levels; continuously seek to improve scheduling process efficiency.
  • Coordinate Engineering Changes, NPI projects, and Transfers to ensure smooth implementation while avoiding obsolescence or excess inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with established Safety rules and perform other related duties as required.

Required Education, Experience and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experiences.
  • Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing and materials environment, including co-op/internships.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive tasks and projects forward with minimal supervision.
  • Strong data analysis skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Solid understanding of ERP-MRP systems.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with effective communication and leadership skills; able to collaborate across multiple business functions.
  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role  

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle, SAP, or JDE ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; experience with Six Sigma reporting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Supply Planning Cloud.

This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities
