Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $21.36.

Johns Manville in Hillsboro, TX is Hiring production operators to join our day shift!

Johns Manville, a leader in the Commercial/Roofing Systems is seeking motivated individuals to perform as a Production Machine Operator! In the HILLSBORO facility, we manufacture insulation for roofs. It's a neat process, but what is even cooler is how we do it...

This position supports the core team in the Hillsboro plant. The Entry Level Operator works cross-functionally and is a part of the Pay-For-Skills program. The Pay-For-Skills program builds on the Entry Level Operator with pay increasing after each of the four jobs is learned which means ROOM FOR ADVANCEMENT. The facility is one of the top performers in the division supplying material all over the United States which translates to JOB SECURITY. This is a temp to hire opportunity. For your first 90 days you will receive $18.50/ hour, after you get converted you will make $21.36/hour.

Hours: 6AM-6PM

Schedule: Must be able to work any days of the week, including weekends, holidays, and OT

 

Your Day-to-Day: 

• Monitor production during run 

• Able to communicate over the radio 

• Cutting feet material, sampling product, move materials by hand, operate a forklift, empty trash carts, conduct clean-up activities 

• Complete preventative maintenance work tasks, assist with start-ups 

• Monitor production line and begin to learn other key positions (i.e. Level 2-4). 

• Understand finished product specifications 

• Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor 

 

What You Bring to the Team: 

• At least one year working in a warehouse/production environment. 

• Ability to work flexible shifts 

• Have general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages). 

• Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office). 

• Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal). 

• Ability to handle multiple priori
