Production Executive

The Colombo Ice Company (CICL), manufacturer of Elephant House Ice Creams is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
CICL owns the most modernized Ice Cream manufacturing plant in the South Asian Region.

Job Responsibilities

•Planning & Implementing weekly Production scheduling of the respective line(S) and ensuring availability of required material for the scheduled production.

•Ensure that the product meets the required product parameters by means of controlling / monitoring production parameters, and performing minor inspections and checks, ensuring correct dosage of ingredients at each step of production and maintaining daily record sheets.

•Responsible for the consumption variance including daily reconciliation of all materials, production confirmations, batch management / traceability, floor Supervision and worker management, rework handling.

•Ensure housekeeping & coordinate routinized maintenance to ensure smooth & hygienic functioning of the production line. Ensuring the preventive maintenance of the machinery are carried out as per the maintenance schedules and make sure the production machinery run with minimum technical and operational stoppages.

•Maintaining requirements of the Quality management system (QMS) & Food safety management system (FSMS) and Safety Health and Environment management system (SHE) with reference to production line (s).

•Scheduling shifts and work arrangement, leave and OT Non-Executive and Fixed term Contract staff. Maintaining labour costs (labour hours & OT) within budgets.

•Process control & improvement.

Person Specifications

•Degree in Manufacturing Management /Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment.

•Leadership, interpersonal skills, problem solving, negotiating skills, decision making & problem solving.
