ERG is seeking a Production Engineer to support technical and production-related efforts. This role involves end-to-end project management—including technical oversight, cost and schedule planning, documentation development, and quality assurance—across a range of engineering and production activities. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in technical data evaluation, standard development, production oversight, and collaborative project execution within a regulated and structured environment. The position requires excellent planning, communication, and engineering problem-solving skills. This position will be full-time at the federal site in McAlester, OK, and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG’s Maryland and Virginia offices.

Job Description:
- Perform all aspects of engineering duties in support of material and end-item production
- Update technical specifications for accuracy
- Prepare and execute cost proposals, schedules, risk assessments, funding requirements, and project plans
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Project Plans (QPPs), and Alternate Control Plans (ACPs)
- Perform statistical analysis to track production progress and in-process and end-item quality
- Ensure quality inspection standards and material receipt processes meet program requirements
- Draft or assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for new procedures, processes, and equipment
- Drive continuous improvement by developing more efficient methods for fabrication, refurbishment, and kitting
Qualifications and Skills:
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience relevant to manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and statistical analysis to compile, analyze, and present data
- Expertise in reviewing engineering drawings and calculations
- Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation to engage with personnel and seek out paths toward solutions when original problem statements may seem vague
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance and safety regulations
- Strong knowledge of interpreting technical specifications
- Excellent problem-solving, technical writing, and oral communication skills
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
