Production Designer/Drafter

The position will lead projects through the design and development process using CAD software.
 
Responsibilities 

• Design and draft stage structures and components for special events at request of clients using computer aided design system (CAD)
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to obtain specifications
• Establish deadlines, develop goals, and determine production standards for department
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes
• Work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment with all levels of the team
• Provide project leadership by monitoring progress on projects and conducting design reviews
• Anticipate and troubleshoot areas of concern and resolve issues
• Work and communicate with all departments involved in production to meet client’s requests and project requirements in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements 

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 4 years’ related work experience; supervising a team is a plus!
• Ability to analyze and interpret designs to apply proper assembly
• Working experience with various materials and fabrication techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with different personalities
• Must have experience using Solidworks and/or Vectorworks
• Proficient in computer programs including Google Suite products and other essential software programs
• Ability to adapt to constant change
• Must be a self-starter and motivated to work with minimal guidance
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule with ability work some evenings, weekends and holidays as required

 Salary commensurate with experience: $75,000-$85,000 per annum
