Production Associate

Job Description

Danfoss in Loves Park has an opening for a Production Associate. The Associate will assemble and test a wide variety of electro-mechanical products according to production and quality standards to meet customer requirements, with possible/occasional material handling.

Job Responsibilities

• Comply with safety procedures and policies.
• Assemble products as required with strict adherence to manufacturing due dates and quality standards.
• Meet established productivity standards.
• Pick, replenish, and transport components.
• Handle packaging materials.
• Ability to train and certify on forklift and tugger equipment and move material throughout the plant using forklift/tugger/hand truck equipment.
• Refill Kanban bins and deliver to appropriate area.
• Perform basic machine cleaning tasks.
• Operate electrical lift, as needed.
• Handle a variety of different part numbers.
• Inspect both in process as well as final assemblies for quality requirements.
• Monitor and report part shortages in the production system.
• Able to rotate and cross train across production areas and work stations, including material handling as determined by supervisor to meet business/customer needs.
• Participate in special project and/or teams, as required.
• Work effectively with team members.
• Keep areas neat and clean, including trash, daily cardboard and recycle bins.
• Scan/transfer materials timely in the systems, supporting accurate inventory counts.
• Work overtime as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

• Must be 18 years of age. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

• Ability to communicate verbally and understand written instructions in English.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer skills.

• Previous production and/or material control experience is desirable.
