Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for inspecting raw cheese before use, remove mold if needed

• Opening multiple raw cheese containers. Examples include barrels, 640 blocks, fiber barrels, & 40 lb. blocks

• Scan tags and interact with SCOF computers

• Operate 6 lane, servo lifts, & block dumpers

• Responsible for maintaining quality standards by checking quality of seals, code dates, labels, packaging of product, weights, odor, color, temperature of product, etc.

• Responsible for insuring accurate supplies being used.

• Requires constant reaching, bending and twisting

• Recordkeeping as required on manual, computer and other systems

• Ensures that housekeeping and Kraft quality standards are maintained in the work area

• General housekeeping duties include sweeping, bending, pickup up trash, lifting trash bags filled with trash, picking up cheese bags

• Operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner

• Performs variety of sanitation and maintenance-type functions

• Must check product and fill out quality documentation

• Peel out and salvage rejected product

• Follow GMP’s outlined in handbook.

• Must be capable of working with others “Team Work”

• Performs sanitation duties when required

• Must be willing to be an active participant in Safety and Efficiency Improvement Teams

• Performs other duties as advised by the Leadership Team

• Must attend DDS meetings daily, 30 minutes prior to start of shift

• Complete a variety of maintenance-type tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, pit stops, minor maintenance and adjustments, lubrication, etc.

• This position will be expected to complete training on upgrade and relief positions within the Process Cheese department

• Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.

• Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, centerline management, shift hand-offs, operational standard ownership/support, problem solving, etc.

  Minimum Requirements:

  ·         Knowledge:  Basic math, reading, and communication.

  ·         Working Environment:  Primarily indoors, hot and humid, can be in a cool environment. Temperature ranges are for lower 40’s to upper 90’s.  During sanitation, can be exposed to wet conditions.  Will be required to work from vertilifts, ladders and platforming.
