About the role

We are seeking a strategic thinker with a highly collaborative mindset to join our high performing Product & Segments finance team. Our team provides a strategic partnership to the cross-functional Product and Customer Segment teams to provide financial rigor around planning for growth, reporting performance and developing enhanced financial analysis. 

As a Senior Associate in Consumer Banking finance space, you will report through the Product Profitability Vice President (VP) with a specific focus on cash management, deposit services and fee revenue optimization.  Work product includes monitoring and tracking budget, forecast, and actuals of fee revenues while providing business case input and P&L scenarios and analysis to understand drivers of profitability for different deposit products and services. You will partner closely with product teams across cash management, regulatory support, data & analytics and budget pass forecast processes. You will interface directly with multiple senior leaders.

Job responsibilities

  • Support the Core Deposit Product Team as the finance point of contact for fee revenue reporting, monitoring and forecasting. 
  • Create and manage budget and forecast models
  • Develop monthly reporting on drivers, fees and deposit services
  • Develop profitability and P&L scenario frameworks
  • Develop frameworks to provide driver metrics and financial inputs for business cases to support investment in the business
  • Conduct variance analysis and explain results in a clear and concise manner
  • Actively manage fee revenues and drivers to escalate risks and opportunities versus forecast / budget in a timely manner
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships across the business

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field
  • 3+ years of financial analysis / FP&A type function
  • Thorough understanding of profitability drivers and analysis, valuation frameworks, and discounted cash flow modeling
  • Ability to leverage data to drive thorough analysis for insightful results to influence decisions
  • Experience creating and presenting senior executive level communications
  • Highly productive with a keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively
  • Strong technical ability with advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent communication skills with client focus and ability to concisely articulate key insights and recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively with a variety of individuals and business partners
  • Self-starter with a steady curiosity and ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Organized problem solver with a collaborative mindset and strong critical thinking skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in analytical tools like Tableau and Alteryx
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase and SAP helpful, but not required
  • Knowledge of automation tool (e.g. VBA) helpful, but not required
