Capital One’s Enterprise Risk Management Team has responsibility for helping the overall organization identify, manage, and mitigate key risks that may keep the company from achieving its strategic objectives. Managing risk is for our businesses, our customers, our communities and our associates.

We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined and process professional on the Risk Management Product team who can lead the Risk Management duties of manage, and mitigate key risks and be the voice of the customer and support the product ops space. 

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in product development, be the voice of the customer and assess & Mitigate risks on a regulatory filing product that spans across technology, data and operations. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Lead our formal risk and control assessment processes for our regulatory product and apply the risk lens on the product ecosystem

• Play a key role in contributing to the effective design and delivery of our risk management framework 

• Collaborate with our stakeholder community (e.g. risk managers, product managers, tech partners, Operations and Other process stakeholders) to support product 

• Leverage data and analytics to manage risk and proactively identify risks and trends

• Actively support internal and external audits and exams

• Stay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts

• Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience 

• At least 4 years of Financial Services experience

• At least 4 years of Risk Management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree

• At least 5 years of Financial Services risk management experience

• At least 5 years of experience in Project or Process Management

• At least 3 years of internal strategy or management consulting experience leading cross functional financial services projects and programs 

• At least 3 years of people management experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
