Description

The Manager of Product Quality is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing quality of our products from design transfer to post market. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and the reputation of our brand. The Manager of Product Quality will lead a team of quality professionals, and drive continuous improvement in product quality, with a specific focus on supplier quality management, third-party manufacturing and supply chain quality oversight, complaints management, and post-market surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality processes for design transfer, manufacturing, and distribution to ensure product quality and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product design and manufacturing processes for quality improvement.
• Manage supplier quality programs, including supplier audits and performance evaluations. Work with suppliers to address quality issues, drive improvements, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor quality assurance and control processes at third-party manufacturing facilities. Implement and oversee post-market surveillance programs to monitor the performance and safety of our products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address post-market issues and improve product quality.
• Manage a comprehensive complaints management system to address customer feedback and complaints effectively. Implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues and improve customer satisfaction.
• Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, Business, or a relevant discipline).
• Proven experience in medical devices with a minimum of 10 years in quality management, quality engineering, or a related field.
• Leadership and team management experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO 13485, Six Sigma, Lean), and related regulations for medical devices in the US, EU, and other countries.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Quality management certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt).
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in medical device quality standards and regulations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000 - $233,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
