Product Owner

Rx Savings Solutions offers an innovative, patented software system that educates and empowers consumers to make the best healthcare choices at the lowest cost. Founded and operated by a team of pharmacists and software engineers, we support a collaborative, cost-saving solution for purchasing prescription drugs. 
The Product Owner is an essential role on a Durable Product Team, and works closely with product management, engineering, design, and project management. This key role is responsible for gathering, defining, and prioritizing requirements throughout the lifecycle of a product/project, while ensuring the solutions are developed to meet technical, user, and business needs. Our ideal candidate will have experience writing technical user stories and managing backlog items by prioritizing them based on the overall strategy and business objectives.
This role will report to the VP of Product Development.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field or equivalent work experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the liaison between the business/product org and the development team
• Translate business requirements and problems identified by the Product Manager into user stories and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with members of assigned Durable Product Team(s), such as UX/UI design and engineering, to design, plan and implement product solutions
• Define and clearly document detailed functional and technical requirements
• Help identify technical considerations and user scenarios that need solved to build a quality product at scale
• Manage ranking and prioritizing of the team’s backlog to reflect stakeholder priorities
• Understand and present the value and goals of the requirements being built
• Clearly communicate requirements and backlog items to the team during Sprint Planning
• Attend sprint ceremonies and be available to team during the sprint for clarifications and acceptance of user stories
• Help coordinate UAT and functional testing

Job/Skills Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions using information technology (i.e. Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, Technical Product Manager)
• Ability to write detail-oriented User Stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to synthesize complex information into concise documentation and/or diagrams
• Strong analytical/problem solving abilities
• Passion for innovation and products that solve real human needs

It would be nice if you had…

• Experience building solutions that connect frontend interfaces with APIs and extensive data sources
• Proficiency in data analysis and tooling, such as SQL, product analytics like Google Analytics/Pendo
• Experience building and deploying mobile apps
• Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
• Ability to facilitate complex discussions with cross-functional stakeholders
• Knowledge of the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry and SaaS products
