HQROur team is charged with maintaining and improving the software at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that supports the Hospital Quality Reporting program. Thousands of hospitals across the country depend on these systems to submit quality measure data that reflects the care beneficiaries receive in their facility. Our teams will continuously strive to modernize these systems, while improving them in ways that reduce provider burden and minimize costs to CMS. We do this through HCD and Service design practices, product thinking, and skilled engineering. Bellese Technologies is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our distributed team on our Hospital Quality Reporting (HQR) program working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) federal agency. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience as a customer-facing digital product manager in a cross-functional agile environment, ideally in the public sector, professional services or a highly regulated industry. To be successful, this person must have a deep understanding of the consulting mindset, user-centered prioritization and the ability to build trust with a wide variety of stakeholders in a complex organization. Success requires a candidate who has excellent communication, collaboration and technical product skills. This is a user-focused role, working to translate the needs of users and the business into digital product features.Being a Product Manager in the public sector is both challenging and rewarding. With the civic-tech movement at its early stages, Product Managers can play a vital role in shaping the movement and guiding it towards a direction where policy and technology can work hand-in-hand to create inclusive and easy to access digital services. This role requires a proactive self-starter who is comfortable taking an early lead while remaining humble, collaborative and flexible. Your first year at Bellese might look something like this:Week 1 Get to know your manager, fellow teammates and BelleseMonth 1 Start to become an expert on your product and its users; norm and form with your project team, build relationships with key stakeholders, and start making decisions!Year 1 Take on new challenges as a member of the Product Management discipline. This might include participating in a Bellese Community of Practice, becoming a member of a CMS Community of Excellence, or supporting new business development efforts.As an individual contributor in the Bellese Product department, you are seen as a trusted, emerging leader by both peers and clients. With the support of your manager and more senior peers, you’re focused on growing your technical competencies, learning the team's tools and current processes, and developing leadership, productivity and consultative skills.
