What this position entails

The Product Manager will have an integral role in driving the strategy for IntelliScript’s Curv® product portfolio. This customer-facing role partners with sales, marketing and relationship management to discover market needs and inform the product roadmap.  As a Product Manager collaborating with an Agile team of Software Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and System Architects, you will help bring the Curv® product vision to life through the continued growth and enhancement of our core products that drive value for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. We need someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset for distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most importantly, we need a Product Manager who can help us build better products.

What you will be doing

  • Develop an understanding of IntelliScript’s business, clients and market diversification strategy
  • Drive new feature and new product development for Milliman’s Curv® suite of products focused on applying machine-learning and AI to estimate healthcare cost and evaluate morbidity and mortality risk
  • Work closely with Agile team members, and be the final arbiter of requirements conflicts and/or questions surrounding priority and requirements
    • Defines the acceptance criteria for all user stories
    • Accept/reject the delivered code from within each sprint
  • Responsible for the prioritization and development of ongoing bug fixes, technical enablers, and product enhancements, and creating and prioritizing user stories within the team backlog
  • Serve as the Agile team’s single-point-of-contact on behalf of business stakeholders / users / customers
  • Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders/users/customers
    • Continually engages and communicates with business stakeholders / users / customers on forthcoming deliverables so that their feedback is incorporated as part of sprint planning
    • Lead team scrums to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders across the product lifecycle
    • Negotiates priorities between competing stakeholder interests at the user story level and then collaborates with team to ensure that the highest value deliverables are completed within the sprint
    • Translate feedback from clients via the Curv® sales and relationship management team to future product features
