The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Manager of Product Engineering with prior experience in the lighting industry to lead and evolve our engineering team. This is a high-impact, on-site role responsible for driving product innovation, quality, and cost optimization. You will play a pivotal part in shaping our product roadmap, improving reliability, and accelerating go-to-market efforts.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Define engineering strategy aligned with company objectives and product vision.
• Manage team performance and project execution to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Lighting Product Development

• Drive new product development efforts from concept to commercialization.
• Ensure products are designed with manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in mind.
• Remain up to date with lighting technologies, trends, and industry standards to guide development.

Product Quality Assurance

• Oversee rigorous product validation and testing processes to meet UL, DLC, Energy Star, and customer expectations.
• Implement quality control systems to continuously improve product performance and durability.
• Analyze data and customer feedback to identify areas for quality improvement.

Cost Optimization

• Lead value engineering and cost-down initiatives while maintaining product integrity.
• Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing to optimize production efficiency and material usage.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience to ensure successful product launches.
• Translate technical details into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.

Process Improvement

• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering excellence.
• Champion continuous improvement, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of product engineering experience within the lighting industry (required).
• Proven success in managing engineering teams and cross-functional projects.
• Strong understanding of LED technology, lighting certifications, and global compliance standards.
• Experience in product lifecycle management, from R&D through mass production.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
