About the role

Description

Our team of innovative game designers, software engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers work together to create a wide range of fun and exciting arcade games and entertainment experiences. A Product Development Project Manager will lead our development projects that transform loose concepts into great games. 


We are seeking a driven individual with experience leading product development projects, ideally with prior experience leading Game Development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for steering assigned projects through the Stage Gate development cycle into production, taking responsibility for project scope, planning, and meeting schedule and cost targets. 


The position would suit a mid-level Project Manager looking to create unique game experiences on a variety of arcade redemption game platforms.  A successful candidate must be able to adapt and extend   their knowledge as projects dictate, as well as work effectively leading multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects through a stage-gate development process, balancing timelines and resources.
  • Drive closure on a clear definition of the project that meets market requirements and internal objectives.
  • Actively manage the project staffing and scope to ensure the schedule and budgetary commitments are met.
  • Ensure the project is developed in compliance with specified internal, customer, and industry standards.
  • Lead design reviews to ensure designs are technically sound and manufacturable. 

Materials and Equipment Utilized:

  • General use of PC and project management tools

Working Environment:

  • Office environment
  • Product Development Shop
  • Game Room locations

Requirements

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor or Associate degree in a technical discipline, preferably engineering/design-related.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of commercial or consumer products with experience leading technical design teams. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong planning and organizational skills; must be able to set and manage priorities, adapt to change, and drive activities to closure. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to a common outcome through positive influence. 
  • A problem solver who can quickly assess situations, collect relevant information or input from subject matter experts and drive manageable solutions. 
  • Creative and innovative. Demonstrate a willingness to explore new options to bridge project challenges and improve processes.  Preferably someone who enjoys games
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage the delivery to the target audience. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, foster teamwork, and bridge differences to achieve the project goals. 
  • A natural leader who can set a clear direction for project teams. 
  • Ability to drive results-oriented action and create accountability for deliverables.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 20% travel to Tradeshows and/or Game Room Test Sites
  • Potential traveling between local Village companies

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach
  • Works in an office and manufacturing environment
  • May be involved in moving/placing test games at local game rooms
