About the role

TITLE: Product Development Manager IV

POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for the support of product and raw material development activities under the direction of the R & D, Quality, and Technology Director, General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Four years of university or college degree and or minimum 10 years of experience in a flexible packaging technical/production role (preferably Stretch Film).
• Cast or blown film experience required.
• Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• High degree of computer competency with proficiency in the use of Microsoft software applications.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support of new product development.
• Attend trials to offer support and advice.
• Exploration of data for verification of relationships.
• Provide technical support within the organization and end users.
• Works within all company’s procedures and guidelines.
• Identifies opportunities for new or improved products.
• Organizes and oversees line trial production.
• Supports all initiatives to improve production efficiencies.
• Assists as required in customer concern/complaint investigations.
• Assists with ISO and SQF procedures.
• Attends customer trials as required.
• Maintains written reports of all activities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Some nights and weekend work may be required.
• Some overnight travel is required.
