POSITION TITLE

Product Designer for Print

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Product Designer for Print will be responsible for creating and communicating appealing design concepts that meet our customer’s needs. Possess the ability to create new designs, relevant to the commercial workplace environment using tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Will be able to create comprehensive color lines that both follow current market trends and anticipate future needs. The right candidate will have the ability to communicate both internally and externally with teammates, salespeople, and customers alike. Must be willing to travel for tradeshows, customer visits or to other Milliken facilities as required by the design director.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and build working relationships with A&D and End User clients.
• Manage all aspects of a design project including pattern and color development.
• Ability to see the project scope by assessing, prioritizing, navigating, and quickly adapting to complex situations in key projects.
• Strong listening and communication skills used to identify customer needs.
• Multi-tasking several design projects and organization of each with the ability to balance and move projects quickly and efficiently forward.
• Ensure design solutions fit manufacturing criteria for quality installations.
• Awareness of design and color trend directions while contributing creative input for design and marketing initiatives.
• Ability to give client presentations and promote creativity and design services.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

• 1-3 year of design experience in commercial floor covering
• Experience using Photoshop and Illustrator

 

QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED

• Bachelors Degree
• Located in LaGrange, GA or the surrounding area
