Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) Mobility and Surveillance P-8 Program is looking for a Product Data Management Specialist (Engineering Release) to join the Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) located in Tukwila, WA. 

The Engineering Release Unit Role involves working in a fast paced environment and regularly working/interacting with the program teams in the release of engineering deliverables/data.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate or Experienced Product Data Management Specialist.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, release and manage engineering data using various systems

  • Work with various program teams and other divisions in the processing and release of data

  • Perform non-technical checks of complex engineering data to verify that the product definition data meets procedural and system requirements

  • Communicate requirements to the program/customers regarding procedures, processes and tools that support the preparation, release and interpretation of product definition data

  • Troubleshoot and reconcile discrepancies by coordinating with affected organizations regarding the needed corrective actions

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Associate degree or higher

  • 1+ years of experience creating engineering release plans and releasing engineering

  • 1+ years of experience with engineering release processes, engineering requirements, and document moderation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience functioning in an environment where first-pass quality of work is expected

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Engineering Release Unit experience in the use of DCAC PDM, ENOVIA, CATIA, REDARS, DM2000, BoGART, CSDT, Teamcenter and/or other similar tools

  • Do you have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment?

Typical Education/Experience: 

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
