All about the role:

Electrolux Major Appliances Global Purchasing plays a key role in achieving company goals by building long-term supplier relationships, focusing on value, innovation, and quality. With 500 colleagues worldwide, we operate in a dynamic, cross-functional environment alongside teams like Sales, R&D, and Manufacturing. We prioritize sustainability, continuous improvement, and strategic partnerships. Through our Value-Based Sourcing (VBS) approach, we engage suppliers early to co-design solutions that ensure global consistency, top-tier quality, and cost-efficiency for our customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the Project Manager representing Procurement on the project team, owning all related deliverables
  • Attend project review meetings and share relevant updates within Procurement
  • Monitor timelines and proactively address any risks to the project schedule
  • Prepare for and participate in project checkpoints, ensuring all Procurement deliverables are met on time
  • Track project progress, sourcing status, and key metrics using data-driven sourcing tools
  • Report Procurement progress to both the project team and Procurement Leadership
  • Engage internal stakeholders (R&D, SD, Quality, Design, etc.) early in SEI activities to drive value through innovation with strategic suppliers
  • Act as the liaison between the Project Team and Category Management, aligning on quality, timing, cost targets, milestones, and deliverables
  • Ensure a coordinated SEI approach across all categories
  • Collaborate with Category Management to understand and apply category strategies within the project
  • Coordinate RFQs in partnership with the Category Management team
  • Support supplier negotiations and business awards alongside Category Management
  • Assist in preparing for Sourcing Board reviews in collaboration with Category Management
  • Contribute to Make vs. Buy analyses to optimize product and operational costs
  • Coordinate supplier tooling quotes and orders with Category Management support
  • Ensure all Procurement-related project milestones and checkpoint deliverables are completed
  • Support cost modeling and estimation efforts with the Category Management team
  • Drive SEI efforts in collaboration with Category Management
  • Act as the point of escalation for cross-functional team interactions with suppliers
  • Support supplier capacity and utilization assessments with Category Management
  • Facilitate supplier-led innovation and coordinate alignment with key internal stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing or project management

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to execute strategic initiatives that enhance performance, with experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Skilled in cost modeling and data mining, with advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to generate clear, impactful reports from large data sets
  • Positive, proactive, and driven mindset with a strong track record of leading change and elevating business performance
  • Strong ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and make sound decisions using analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills
  • Demonstrates exceptional work ethic, integrity, sound judgment, and transparency—motivating others to uphold the same standards
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed
